"Buffalo Wings" - that famous food phenomenon - comes from upstate New York where hearty folks live and passions run to exciting hockey, football, and cold weather. Nearly two decades ago, MO-JOE's founders Doug and Marlene Baggett decided to bring Buffalo wings, then a little-known treat, to Atlanta, Georgia. They established the first MO-JOE's restaurant in 1984. The response was tremendous! MO-JOE's wings have since then also made their way out of the MO-JOE's restaurants and onto party buffet tables, and into picnic baskets - all with great results.

Customers tell us that MO-JOE's wings are, by far, the best. We caution our customers with signs that read "Warning: MO-JOE's wings are extremely addictive (consume at your own risk)." Despite this warning, customers continue to consume our wings and become addicted to these wonderful delicacies.

MO-JOE's full menu complements our signature Buffalo wings. Enjoy delicious, 100% all-beef burgers, authentic Buffalo-style Sahlen hotdogs, tasty chicken tenders, grilled chicken sandwiches, and salads. Four major components of our business format keep customers coming in, coming back, and telling everyone else about MO-JOE's. Look at the distinct advantages you'll have as a MO-JOE's franchisee:

Mo' Food - It's all-American cooking at its finest and it's absolutely delicious. We're a counter-service restaurant (you won't need a wait staff) that provides quick, efficient, and family-friendly service. We're open for lunch and dinner. Our meaty, mouth-watering, buffalo-style chicken wings are fresh, hand-cut, tossed in our secret sauces, and served with delicious celery and blue-cheese dressings. It's our secret sauces that make our wings so great, and our customers rave about the choices. They can order wings in six different sauces: mild, medium, hot, x-hot, barbecue, or lemon pepper. Doug and Marlene developed their secret, proprietary sauces many years ago, and they are now manufactured under private label to keep up with the growing demand.

We offer a number of delicious, high-quality menu items in addition to our signature wings: tasty chicken tenders, juicy all-beef burgers, Buffalo-style Sahlen hot dogs, and grilled chicken sandwiches. Great sides include curly Q fries, nachos, stuffed jalapeņo poppers, Mozzarella cheese sticks, beer-battered onion rings, and Shroomies, mouth watering stuffed Portobello mushrooms. Rounding out our menu are great kids' meals and delicious homemade desserts like "Brownie a la MO-JOE," key-lime pie, and a terrific carrot cake made from Marlene's own secret recipe.

Mo' Fun - Our restaurant atmosphere says, "Relax and enjoy." MO-JOE's customers have great food - and a great time. We're devoted to families. They love us not only for our great food but also for our video games arcade, upbeat music, and sporting events they can enjoy from the many TV sets throughout our restaurants. It's not unusual to see entire little league teams, church-sponsored teams, and kids' birthday party groups having fun at MO-JOE's. Although our customers can enjoy beer in several of our locations and everyone enjoys sporting events on our TVs, we are definitely not a "bar" or "sports bar." We are truly something very special in America: a buffalo-style chicken wing restaurant dedicated exclusively to family dining and family fun.

Mo' to Go - Customers do love us for dining out but they love us for another option as well: carry-out. Carry-out is a way of life for a busy nation on the go, and MO-JOE's meets that customer need. In fact, carry-out comprises a huge percentage of our business, both daily and on weekends. Whether it's dinner, lunch, a party, or the crowd gathering at home to watch a game on TV, we're ready. From small orders of a few pieces to 50-piece buckets to 100-piece party trays, customers love to order Mo' to Go!

Mo' Options - Because customers love the choice of dining at our restaurants or ordering pick-up, as a MO-JOE's franchisee you'll have the distinct advantage of two restaurant sizes to choose from: full-service or carry-out. Our full-service restaurants are conveniently located in strip shopping centers, usually at the end of the center for maximum accessibility, or as stand-alone facilities. They provide comfortable seating for our dine-in customers, and have a specially designated pick-up area to serve the carry-out customers that account for a large percentage of daily and weekend business.

Our "to-go" restaurants are much smaller in size, have no seating, and serve take-out only food cooked to order. Customers can walk up or place orders by phone for pick-up. Our to-go restaurants are also conveniently located in strip shopping centers.

Our Buffalo "Flip"


Pictured with Doug and Marlene is the newest addition to our restaurant – a Buffalo named "Flip." We bought Flip at the recent "Herd About Buffalo" auction, which featured 154 buffaloes sponsored by various businesses in the Buffalo, New York, area. The buffaloes were painted and otherwise decorated and decoratively placed around Buffalo prior to the auction. Proceeds of the auction - $1.5 million - went to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the Burchfield-Penney Art Center.

Our buffalo features the Indian-head side of a Buffalo Nickel and was named "Flip" by his creator, Eric Gansworth. Mr. Gansworth, a resident of Tuscasora, New York, is also an artist, Professor of English, and writer. An Iroquois Indian, his work includes "Indian Summers" and the recently released "Nickel Eclipse: Iroquois Moon," which features a picture of Flip on the back cover.
